In this online course, we will look at how freight brokers and freight brokering companies help shippers identify and negotiate the best trucking routes and rates. We will also look at a fairly new development in this field, that is, the freight sharing apps, that much like Uber, utilize a “share economy” model. The apps are designed to connect a shipper with a carrier, cutting the “middleman,” and schedule a shipment at ideal pricing.
